Our CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) comprises 13 units (7 core units and 6 elective units) completed within 12 months. You will learn how to provide support to individuals who may require support due to ageing in community and/or residential settings. Workers provide person-centred support based on individualised care plans.
Our CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is designed for people wishing to develop the skills and knowledge required to become an Individual Support worker. Our elective units are carefully selected to reflect real-life community needs.
The number of Aged and Disabled Carers grew very strongly over the past 5 years and is expected to grow very strongly over the next 5 years: from 163,700 in 2017 to 241,200 by 2022. With Jigsaw’s self-paced learning, you will be allocated a trainer who will be in regular contact and assist you through your studies. Trainers also hold frequent online interactive sessions with other students or individually for teachings, role plays and more.
You receive full access to your assessments online as well as additional readings, videos and more.
Your trainer is also available to answer any questions via email or telephone during office hours, including during the online classroom sessions.
In addition to the online learning, online workshops and role plays, learners will be required to work with clients during a 120 hour work placement which learners are required to source themselves.
All students are required to complete written assessments in their own time your trainer will advise you of due dates.
Students applying for this qualification will need to show academic suitability. This can be done by providing a copy of a year 10 certificate, higher or equivalent. If you don’t have any of the above, you will be required to complete approved Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) reading and numeracy tests at Exit Level 3 or above. If required, we will organise these tests for you at no additional charge.

Jigsaw Training Group (RTO #32423) is a Prequalified Supplier of the CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing). We are able to offer eligible students funded places under the Queensland Government's Certificate 3 Guarantee Program.
Eligibility Criteria The program is open to any Queensland resident aged 15 years or over who is no longer at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students) and is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency. Prospective students must not have or be enrolled in a certificate III level or higher qualification, not including qualifications completed at school and foundations skills training.
